We are committed to reducing our environmental impact, wherever possible Thaikit uses recycled and bio-degradeable packaging, where this is not possible we use minimum quantities.

Our products are shipped to us from Thailand by container ship (not aeroplane) which has a much smaller carbon footprint.

Thaikit supports Thai farmers, as our buying power increases we aim to assist our suppliers in using more biodegradable packing. We are already assisting Thai farmers in reducing their non-organic pesticide and fertilizer usage.

As with many products that have origins in foreign countries, the farmer or worker near the beginning of the supply chain receives little financial reward for their efforts. An average farm worker in Thailand earns about 150 baht (£3 U.K. pounds) per day. Our commitment to them is: Using a proportion of the profits we will assist Thai Farmers develop their agriculutral businesses and increase their export potential. We believe this is a sustainable and effective way to help Thai people improve their quality of life.
