ThaiKit is a family run business, comprising of Chris, (that's me) and my wife Tik. We are situated next to the lovely Epping Forest and live there with our 3 boys.

We both lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand for several years, and have eaten at hundreds of the wonderful restaurants and street market stalls all over Thailand.

When we returned to England in 2005 we were disappointed with the quality of Thai food available. Of course some of the UK Thai restaurants are superb, but we found getting hold of quality ingredients to create authentic Thai meals in your own home was almost impossible.

Over the next 3 years we researched and sourced various Thai ingredients, and in late 2008 were ready to put together a kit of these Thai ingredients, so anyone, even someone with very little cooking experience can create a great Thai meal for a good price.

Tik, my wife is the brains behind the food and I look after the "other stuff". By starting Thaikit our goal is to truly bring the taste of Thailand into your home, and spread the message about how easy it is to make authentic and great tasting Thai food.
